connic gives developers the tools to tell whether an agent works: judges, A/B tests, guardrails, approvals and traces. As AI Engineer you build those tools and the model layer underneath, and you use them on real agents every day.

What you'll do

Bring new models and providers into connic's model catalog, including the details: pricing, caching, streaming and tool calls.
Build evaluation features such as judges, A/B tests and guardrails, and make their results trustworthy.
Work on the composer SDK, the Python package developers use to define agents, tools and middleware.
Build agents and templates with customers and turn what you learn into product.
Follow what changes in models and agent frameworks and decide what matters for our users.

What you bring

Experience building with LLMs in production: prompting, tool calling, retrieval and evaluation.
Strong Python. TypeScript is a plus.
A habit of measuring before claiming something is better.
You use AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT every day and know agentic coding inside out: coding agents like Claude Code are part of how you work, and you know how to steer and review what they produce.
Clear written communication in English. German is a plus.

A founder goes through your last jobs with you, one by one: what you were responsible for, what you achieved, what went wrong and how your managers saw your work.
Team day, references and offer
Half a day
Meet the team in Munich or by video and ask anything. Then you set up short calls for us with some of your former managers, and we send an offer within a few days.
